The Great Gardner

Anyone who spends time with Ethan knows he LOVES the outdoors (andlets himself out whenever he pleases). He will spend hours "mowing" the yard with his faux lawn mower, follows me when I mow the lawn at home (safety glasses and all - mowing his mower side by side), and he has found new friends outdoors: worms. He cant get enough of them - though I certainly can. I have found them in all of his toy vehicles. He puts them in his trucks (yes, even the fire trucks) and drives them all over the yard. He even puts them in his POCKETS! I cant wait to find them fried in the dryer. He comes to me and says "more worms momma, more. One more" when he has about 8 already. He just got a True Temper kids wheelbarrow too. He is hard at work!

Bowman's Bay

I have been promising these pics for a while...finally, I am posting them! Ethan took a trip with momma and good friend Lora, aka, "Ora"!

Fishing!

I still have a bunch of other pics to post, but we went fishing yesterday with some friends and I had to post our couple of pics! Ethan had fun (his first time), he helped momma reel in her ONE fish (LOL - come on, I havent been fishing since I lived out at Big Lake!) and some of our buddies little prizes. He helped net them, touched their slimy skin, and was overall enthused about the concept! It was definitely nap time at the end - the pics make that evident (lack of typical exuberant smile) LOL.

Arizona Ethan

Ethan went with his daddy to Arizona for a week! Yes, it was excruciating for mommy -one would think I would have welcomed the break...the first day or so was ok but I missed my little partner! He had a great time with his dad and grandma and grandpa Angel who havent seen him in quite a while - I am sure they were amazed at his cognitive development! (um yeah, that is the social sciences degree coming out).

Anyhow, here are a few pics from his trip - I have more but no access to them at this moment.(Dont forget to scroll down and read the SOCCER! post! Yes, I am back in action!)

SOCCER!

Ok, so I have been out of it for awhile - I am sure my cousin Christine is just shaking her head at me! Well, today I finished my MBA. I submitted my final project and its OVER! And no, I dont think I will attempt a PhD.

I have a lot to get you all caught up on as far as Ethan goes. I am going to give you a rundown, but my picture submittal will be a bit backwards (will start with Soccer below, others to follow I promise). He finished swimming a month ago (thank goodness) and I started him in soccer. This too ended last Friday, with another "thank goodness". While it was all fun, keeping the attention of a 2.5 year old can be quite the challenge. Most of you are blessed to know that! He also has a new, completely authentic set of golf clubs...I took him to the range last week and oh my...its a good thing I didnt get my head anywhere near his clubs. Not to mention I think he may be a lefty! Throws with his right hand, but definitely wants to grip the club and swing left handed.

He is potty training and tells me (usually) when he needs to go and wants a high-five when he has been successful. He opens the back sliding door and helps himself to the backyard and would stay out there all night if he could - mowing, digging for worms, playing behind the laurel hedge and watching for planes. He also helps himself to the fridge (and freezer) and lets me know when he wants to watch Thomas the Train or Bob the Builder...and I hate to say it: Barney. aaaack!

His favorite phrases:
"Give me my ____ (insert whatever)"
"I need that!"
"I love momma"
"This is my house/couch/table/bed!"
"Sit down momma"
"No momma, back!I do it!"

Ok Ok, here are the soccer pics (this was his last day):
